Iso Benessere’s ACUA combines steam and a massage bed

The multi-functional ACUA steam bath massage bed from ISO Benessere incorporates a steam bath and a shower, as well as an electronically adjustable backrest, and is divided into four parts to ensure the user doesn’t slip.

Suitable for a wide range of uses, including steam baths, mud/clay treatments and algae wraps, the shower component, which can be used during the steam cycle, is accessed via a foldaway bracket and alternates jets of thermo-regulated hot and cold water.

The steam produced by ACUA can be enriched with essential oils while chromotherapy colour cycles can also be added into treatments.

New from leading textiles supplier BC Softwear is the luxuriously soft Bamboo Bathrobe.

Created from a soft bamboo and cotton blend, the hypoallergenic bathrobe features a shawl collar and turn-back cuffs as well as a double belt loop to enable guests to adjust their waistbands to fit.

Available in white and up to an XL in size, the new bathrobe is said to have improved anti-bacterial and anti-microbial performance due to its bamboo composition, and also boasts improved absorbency as well as being naturally anti-static and anti-fungal.

Gharieni’s MLR Select Vintage celebrates a retro aesthetic

Created with a deliberately retro aesthetic, the MLR Select Vintage bed offers extensive storage space for towels and equipment and would be a stylish centrepiece to a spa’s treatment room.

With a metal base frame and two strong lifting columns, the treatment bed’s height, inclination, back and foot area are all electrically adjustable while its armrests can be swivelled and lowered.

GlammFire’s striking suspended fireplaces

Leading Portuguese manufacturer GlammFire has produced what are billed as the world’s first suspended fireplaces.

Ideal as the focal point of a spa’s relaxation area, the Thales fireplace was inspired by the drawing of a circle and is made from black lacquered steel and high-temperature-resistant glass.

Equipped with a bioethanol automatic burner, both components of the piece can be rotated, adding to the fireplace’s versatility.

Two other suspended fireplaces are available – the double-sided Eudoxus, and Pythagoras, which has an emphasis on straight lines expressed in its long edges and defined vertices.

The company also offers bespoke design options, as well as a comprehensive range of other products.

Biodegradable yoga mats from Form

British fitness company Form has unveiled a range of fully biodegradable yoga mats.

Committed to developing sustainable fitness products, Form’s mats are free from silicone, toxic glue and phthalates, while their production and delivery follows a carefully monitored carbon-negative assessment.

Two new designs in Form’s high-performance Pro range – Aerial and Marble – are available in both circular and rectangular mat shapes, and £10 (€11) from every Marble mat sale will be donated to The Ocean Cleanup initiative.

The circular mats are particularly useful for pregnant women or those trying yoga with children or a partner, as their shape prevents the need to turn the mat during class.

KLAFS presents its evolution of the snow cabin

Featuring backlit acrylic glass elements, the focal point of the lounge is a stalagmite ice fountain. Located in the centre of the lounge, the fountain’s ice blooms gradually grow upwards and can be taken and used by guests to assist their cool down.

The room’s temperature is set at 16°C and its design also incorporates a multi-sensorial concept involving temperature, a delicate ‘ice mint’ scent and an optional extra of ATMOSPHERE by KLAFS, whereby ultra-high resolution screens show dramatic images of nature.

Porcelanosa launches Forest series by PAR-KER

Intended to reproduce the singularities of wood with extreme accuracy, Porcelanosa’s new Forest by PAR-KER ceramic parquet is made from 95% recycled materials collected from the solid ceramic waste generated during the production process of other Porcelanosa products.

Resistant to high footfall, radiant heating, fire, water and humidity in general, Forest would be suitable for a wide range of spa areas and comes in two sizes: 22cm x 90cm and 14.3cm x 90cm. The latter can be supplied in an anti-slip variation that makes it ideal for outside, humid or wet spa zones. The Forest series comes in four elegant colour choices including  Acero (pictured).

REM’s Indigo nail bar celebrates simple elegance

Constructed from a laminated teak composite and ideal for bathing areas with a limited space, the Geo Deep Ofuro Bath by William Garvey has a removable seat and is designed to stand on two solid teak bearers, which elevate the bath by four feet in height.

Each Geo Bath is fitted with a chrome Presflo (chainless) waste that is compatible with standard shallow bath traps and fitted in the centre of the bath, with a base shaped to improve drainage.

Glass1989’s new bespoke ChillOut skilfully combines a sauna and hammam in one space and is ideal for a spa suite.

Created in a collaborative partnership with the design studio Meneghello Paolelli Associati as both designers hold a deep passion to enhance personal wellbeing through creating innovative equipment, ChillOut flows along a precise stylistic continuum between sauna and hammam.

The sauna and hammam’s wall colours contrast with ChillOut’s back walls, with the ceiling concealing the lighting system as well as neatly balancing the volume of the structure.

Intended to ‘heighten the relationship between volume and materials’, the colour palette and materials used have been elegantly combined. Hemlock was chosen to craft the sauna, which can hold a maximum of five people in flexible seating options that can be removed, if required.

Automatically filling and emptying, the bike is supplied with an integrated pump as well as connectivity that enables remote, hands-free management and an intelligent, preventative maintenance interface.

An intuitive touchscreen controls the bike’s water temperature, while the water’s natural buoyancy means it can be particularly beneficial for those needing post-injury rehabilitation or muscle strengthening.

Kettal reveals the Meteo parasol

The result of a new collaboration with designer Konstantin Grcic, Meteo is a contemporary take on the parasol that is made from Kettal’s own range of smart sunshade materials.

Said to offer durable and effective protection, Meteo is available in two versions – a basic model that uses a manual pulley system and a high-end option that has an integrated gas piston to assist the opening and closing of the parasol.

Available in multiple colour options, the parasols can be fitted with two alternative types of base plate, in either sheet metal or cast iron.

Gharieni launches the K8 collection

The Gharieni Group has launched a new modular compilation of treatment room furniture, the K8 Collection.

It aims to help spas resolve the wide range of operational challenges of successful and high-traffic treatment rooms in an aesthetically pleasing fashion.

Available in three different colours with white wooden fronts, up to four modules can be selected for the furniture.

A range of options, including a laundry basket, a washbasin mixer and LED illumination, can be integrated to suit individual requirements.

ChillOut with Glass1989

Glass1989’s new bespoke ChillOut skilfully combines a sauna and hammam in one space and is ideal for a spa suite.

Created in a collaborative partnership with the design studio Meneghello Paolelli Associati as both designers hold a deep passion to enhance personal wellbeing through creating innovative equipment, ChillOut flows along a precise stylistic continuum between sauna and hammam.

The sauna and hammam’s wall colours contrast with ChillOut’s back walls, with the ceiling concealing the lighting system as well as neatly balancing the volume of the structure.

Intended to ‘heighten the relationship between volume and materials’, the colour palette and materials used have been elegantly combined. Hemlock was chosen to craft the sauna, which can hold a maximum of five people in flexible seating options that can be removed, if required.

HI-MACS solid surface solutions evolve with Structura and Concrete collections

The Concrete Collection from LG Hausys is available in five shades to offer a neutral canvas for designers to build upon.

Suitable for a wide range of spa environments, from reception desks and changing rooms to wet areas and wallcoverings, HI-MACS is made from a combination of acrylic, minerals and natural pigment and is completely non-porous.

The surfaces are thermoformed to allow for curved shaping, and its seamless surfaces are extremely hygienic.

Also new to the HI-MACS portfolio is Structura, a textured, 3D surface that can take on virtually any pattern and is ideally suited for use as a wallcovering. Available in 10 colours, design options range from the hexagonal Hive to the pebble-like feel of Zen and the relief detail of Dunes.

La Beeby’s new uniform collection

Leading workwear supplier La Beeby has unveiled a range of new, high-performance uniform designs as well as a stylish Mulberry colour option.

Combining style and comfort, La Beeby’s mission to ‘ban the bland’ in spa uniforms encompasses fashion-conscious tunics, trousers, dresses and accessories in durable fabrics that withstand repeated and rigorous use.

New for 2018, the Erin Tunic (far right) is available in black, navy and plum, and embraces the cold-shoulder trend while allowing room for movement with a working popper fastening on the sleeve.

The Grace Tunic and the Anna Dress (centre) co-ordinate and feature a pleat detail. Available in black, grey and mulberry shades, they are ideal for those who like to look subtly different but still part of the same team.

Finally, the Lyla Tunic (shown left) has a front fastening with sparkly crystal buttons for a touch of glamour, and can be supplied in black, grey, mulberry and navy.

Ritmonio’s luxurious bathroom collection

The Diametro 35 series of luxury bathroom products from Ritmonio combines traditional and modern aesthetics to make it ideal for a spa’s changing areas.

Recently installed within the suite bathrooms and spa area at the Hotel Milano Alpen Resort in the Dolomites (pictured), the Diametro 35 series includes bath taps, basin taps and mixers.

The collection is eco-friendly with water-saving features including a flow rate of less than nine litres per minute to encourage the responsible use of water.

Matrix launches S-Force Performance Trainer

The new S-Force Performance Trainer leverages intelligent biomechanics to offer extremely rigorous high-intensity interval training options.

The user-defined path fits each person’s individual stride while a magnetic system automatically increases resistance to create challenging, progressive workouts.
